About me

I was born in Cardiff in 1988 and have grown up, lived there and worked there ever since. I was educated at Whitchurch High School, finishing my A-levels there in 2006.

After this, I worked full-time in a number of full time jobs, in local pubs and a local convenience store before becoming interested in Politics, due to which I decided to take up a BA Politics degree at the University of Glamorgan, beginning in 2008.

My interest and passion for contributing positively to politics then led me into party politics and I joined the Welsh Liberal Democrats in 2009. I was elected Chair of Liberal Youth Wales (the youth and student wing of the Welsh Liberal Democrats) in 2010, and I have seeked for better representation and understanding of young people by politicians. When I contested the Blaenau Gwent seat at the General Election in 2010 at 22 years old, I was one of the youngest Parliamentary Candidates in the whole country.

My political interests are the opening up of Government at all levels in the interests of transparency, and engaging young people in Politics so that they can engage and demand what they need from the political system.

I also want to particularly help do something about the unfair nature of council tax and billing for energy usage, which in my opinion are not levied in the fairest ways possible as they charge lower earners more as a proportion of their income. Making these fairer would in my opinion make it much easier for those on low earnings to live.

Outside of politics I am a supporter of Cardiff City Football Club and enjoy keeping fit by cycling.
