Matt Smith backs calls for a railway station at St Athan

Welsh Conservative candidate for the Vale of Glamorgan in the Senedd Matt Smith supports more frequent rail services and a new railway station

Trains only run once an hour either way west of Barry. There is no stop for St Athan.

Many residents in and around Rhoose, St Athan and Llantwit Major feel ill served by the Vale Council with insufficient bus services and poor road surfaces.

Matt said: “I will work with our Alun Cairns MP to lobby for a new rail station for St Athan and improvements to the number of trains running beyond Barry”.
