Taxpayers' Alliance protest in Rumney as Cardiff Council raises council tax by 5%

Cardiff Council has once again increased your council tax by 5% for 2018-2019.

Cardiff Council initially proposed increasing Council Tax in Cardiff by 3.7%. For a band D property this means an increase of £48.83 a year!

Then on 9 February the Labour-controlled Cardiff Council voted to increase Council Tax by 5%.

Cardiff Council's Chief Executive received a salary of £208,930 during 2015-2016.

Cardiff Council needs to get its spending under control before asking taxpayers to pay even more tax.
