Local residents are demanding that the local community benefits from land use at the former Llandaff BBC site. The iconic BBC Broadcasting House and Ty Oldfield buildings on Llantrisant Road were demolished as the broadcaster opened new offices on Central Square next to Cardiff Central Station.

The site is being redeveloped into Llandaff Park, that will see another 364 houses built along Llantrisant Road. Many local residents see rising traffic congestion and air pollution as symptoms of overdevelopment.

Conservative candidates for Llandaff in May’s Cardiff Council elections Councillor Sean Driscoll and Matt Smith said: “We need assurances that investment in local amenities and infrastructure will keep pace with rising demand.”
