Llandaff

Conservative Councillors went door-to-door collecting signatures for a petition that was presented to Cardiff Council thereby saving Llandaff’s number 66 bus route. Llandaff Conservatives believe it is vitally important that communities are not cut off or isolated by the withdrawal of bus services. Local rail users are calling for investment in improved access to stations in Llandaff and services catering for the local area.

The need for improved access is most keenly felt by those who are traveling with children and those who are with disabilities. Improved station access and safety would also encourage people to use train services rather than cars thereby relieving congestion on roads. Conservative candidates for Llandaff in May’s Cardiff Council elections Sean Driscoll and Matt Smith said: “We want to make sure that all rail transport users passing through Danescourt and Waun-Gron Park stations enjoy access to local rail services so that they can go about their journeys safely and conveniently. “We will fight for more investment in improved lighting, walk ways and lifts to make life easier for local rail users in Llandaff.”
